My son, Bobby, stopped by the other day and he was sharing stories about me before I met My Baby. He was telling about the time that when Trey was little this little litter of puppies were barking up a storm and we went outside to see what was wrong and we looked down on the cement steps and there was a little bat there. I got a pair of gloves and picked it up and took it inside and put it into a birdcage that we had. We called the game warden and they said to put it into the tree out back upside down and it would go away. So after I let the kids look at it I took it outside and did what I was told.
Another time there was this HUGE black snake climbing the courthouse wall and I had ahold of it and was going to take it down to the creek and let it go. Bobby started honking the horn and it made the snake really mad. So I had to let it go on its way. When Trey, my Baby, and I was walking in the field just south of the house. My Baby was rabbiting hunting and there was this little snake slithering along. I picked it up, Trey thought it was really cool. So did I.
I have always been that way with wild animals. When I was little I actually caught a kit hawk that was hurt. We called the lady down the road, she worked at the refuge, it ended up dying, but I saved it for the night. I also saved a little pig one time when her momma squished her. Dad was climbing the grain bin, before he went up, I was crying and trying to get it alive. Daddy showed me how to kinda do cpr on it. I massaged its side and by the time daddy came back down the little pig was up and running around in the back of the truck. He couldn't believe it. Neither could I, honestly.
But, anyway, I am done "chasing rabbits" with all these stories and I am sure boring the poop out of you. I will let you go. Have a great night and maybe real soon- before the end of the year- I will tell you about our Christmas. Take care of yourself and all the little critters that you may have. Good night, Roxi
